Powder residue on magazines

Has anyone else noticed there is a lot more gunpowder residue on the left side of a magazine after firing?  I put 200 rounds of Fiochi through my 82 and noticed the difference.  This really shows up on my mags because they are nickel plated. 

Why?  Residue on the right side gets exhausted with the shell???

I don't think there is a problem but thought it might be time for a fresh thread on this forum.

This happens not only to CZ82/83.
When you look at the mag top you will notch for slide stop lever. That notch makes more room for gases and residue running around the mag.
I've got the same (maybe not such visible) on my CZ P-01 and 1911.

Fiochi may be using a particularly dirty run of powder in your lot. It happens from time to time.

I've had no buildup of soot or other dirt on my mags, but I lube them, inside and out, with buffed car wax.  I'm guessing you have a thin coat of oil on that mag.

It's not Fiocchi's fault to build all dirt up on mags. Fiocchi is one of the cleanest ammo. I'm with Skookum - dry (lubed or waxed) mag won't catch a residue.
