Shadow 2 trigger reach question
« on: February 12, 2019, 06:13:54 PM »
I have been thinking about buying a shadow 2.  I have one question about ergonomics.  Is the distance from the top of the backstrap where the web of your hand fits to the trigger more, less, or the same as on the SP-01?  I am talking about the middle of the curve where the backstrap curves forward just below the top before it goes backwards toward the beavertail tang.  Like the forwardmost part of the backstrap where the web of your hand fits.  The distance from there to the front of the trigger.  More, less, or same than SP-01?  I don't want the trigger to be any further in on my finger the SP-01.

Hiya Tim and thx for the thread. When you have time to google "Cz spo1 Shadow vs Shadow 2" on you tube by the humblemarksman think he will demonstrate the difference visually for ya. Guess its your perception of give or take difference is,but the operator seemed to be more impressed with how the 2 felt out of the box. Good luck. Be well.

Great video, thanks.  At the beginning when he said "overanalysis" I was like "great! my kinda guy."  After watching the video I'm sold.  When I saw in pictures how the backstrap was curved farther forward at the top I was thinking that the trigger would reach me in the middle of my finger but from his description it looks like it'll be just right.
