Sight height w/ Holoson 507
« on: February 12, 2019, 07:28:10 PM »
I have a p07 that i am sending off to have it cut for a Holoson 507c.  Does anyone know what height sights i will be needing?
I will have the rear cut for a glock behind the optic if that matters.  and would like to buy the sights and send them along with slide so they can be installed and aligned.
Any info would be greatly appreciated!
especially from someone who has done this before ;)

With my 507c/p10c combo, I'm using the stock suppressor heights that came on my p10c.  I'd reach out to Primary Machine or Cajun Gun Works, either should be able to help you if don't find anymore info on the P07/507C.

When I had RMR's installed on my P07 and P09 I sent the slides and RMRs to Primary Machine.  They milled the slides for the RMRs and the back up rear sight, cerakoted the slides and installed the front/rear back up sights and the RMR's.

So, I let them figure it out and they were absolutely correct, both times, with the sights they installed.

So, yeah, talk to them and they will probably know.

I have a 507C on order (back order now) and have to decide what pistol to get it installed on.  Once I have the 507C and figure out which pistol to put it on I'll most likely contact Primary Machine, again.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Hard to say. We don't know enough.

How deep is the optic going? New dovetail behind optic? New dovetail inf front of optic? Is whoever is cutting it going to mill a flat on top the slide in the front prior to cutting the dovetail?

Id' recommend buying sights from whoever is doing the milling instead of buying your own. They will have already done the homework to ensure that you will get the correct POA/POI for the application.

Do y'all like the Holosun? It's relatively inexpensive but I've only heard good things so far.
