I've had more experience than I really wanted zeroing various CZ pistols with red dots over the last few weeks. This weekend I received my CZ Custom PT4 adaptor for the OR P-10F and installed it and the sight in place of the adapted Springer Precision Shadow dovetail mount. Works and fits perfectly. So I put the sight I bought for this gun back on it, put the original Burris from the P-09 back on the P-09, and zeroed both guns at noon today. Everything went perfectly except for me flinching a couple of shots, which I ignored for zero purposes.
Since the P-09 and P-10F shoot equally well, I did not include the P-09 zero in the video below, limiting myself to the P-10F with the new OR plate. Video will finish uploading by around 9:15 CDT, I hope.
https://youtu.be/MkVqXbq091gI did not use a rest or a two handed grip. You might find that unusual, but the fact is that, for me, the zero shifts some between single hand, two hand, and wrist rest, so, if I zero the gun perfectly from a rest, I have to fine tune it for bullseye single hand anyway, so I just skip the rest for a bullseye gun. I am a pretty consistent single hand shooter so this isn't a big handicap.
So, take a look at the video and let me know what you think. I think I can zero one of my own guns pretty well with 20 rounds, 10 of cheap ammo at 7-10 and at 25 yards, followed by 10 rounds of match ammo to fine tune. I think.
The P-09 and P-10F are excellent and very easy to zero since they are so tight mechanically, as demonstrated last weekend with the P-10F and many times over the years with the P-09.
