VZ.58 Magazine Question

I need to order a few more mags and am thinking about getting a pouch as well.  Since there are a lot more choices in the AK world wondering if that would work for VZ.58 mags as well.  Is the size about the same?  Thanks.

Ak mags are smaller than 58 mags. Not sure if 58 mags are too big for ak mag pouches surplus or new molle.  I personally like to 58 surplus mag pouches because they are perfect for AUG mags too.

Most AK mag pouches will fit VZ58 mags.  Basically, if it's an AK mag pouch that fits the tapco waffle or magpul polymer mags, then it should fit the VZ58.  Some of the ones made exclusively for steel mags may be too tight -- the dimension that's the kicker is the extension on the rear where the follower activates the last shot bolt hold open.

Never had an issue with pouches, chest rigs, or kydex speed mag holsters all working with either one.

Update - I got a 3-magazine Polish AK pouch from RTG Gun Parts & it works just fine.
