What I am finding after several P guns trigger jobs:  some are ?redeemable? as far as stacking goes and others are not.  Grit can be largely eliminated by polishing, but not stacking.  Some P guns just have a stacking problem that is not solvable.  It?s a shame, but it?s the truth.

Yeah I did the exact same thing to my P09 and then my P07. Actually on the P07 I polished more parts than I did in the P09 and in the end the P09 trigger is better. This is not to say the P07 DA pull is bad. It is jerky all the way through the pull though. To be fair I only have about 200 rounds through the P07, so I am thinking with more rounds it will smooth out. It seems these guns really work in at about 1000 rounds.

For those with stacking issues, I polished the sear to trigger interface, put 3000 grit on a flat glass table, and rubber the sear on it, it will make it a lot better. I know some people say dont touch the sear, but as long as you polish perfectly flat and dont change the interface angle it will be fine. The hammer also needs to be good, that is easier to just replace with a CGW unit, or even better the full pro kit. I also did a full polish on the trigger where it meets the bar, looks like a mirror.

Polishing the trigger bar will not mess with stacking but does get out some of the grit. What will help with some stacking is the trigger bar spring, polish where it meets the bar, and lube with moly grease. Also bending it slightly to reduce the pressure on the bar will further reduce friction, maybe take 1/3 of the distance out.

I literally had not shot a single round through the gun, i stripped it, polished, installed the pro kit, and then took it to the range. My wife has the exact same gun stock so it was a good comparison, my P-07 trigger now feels pretty much identical to a Shadow 2 in terms of stacking and grit (which is 0), but with slightly altered spring characteristics, the Shadow is maybe a little better, the P-07 is fore sure a little lighter, I think I would prefer a stronger power TRS.

The CZ Custom trs is a bit stronger I think.

Polishing the sear will only affect the SA pull.  It is easy to goof up here without a jig.  Shooting or even replacing the sear is easiest.

I do believe that if you have a stacking P gun, it will remain so, and polishing and shooting can make it quite useable.  I have a FDE P09 I bought for a song, and it stacks, but is getting good enough for me to hit the bullseye at 15 yards when I concentrate in DA.  It is still enjoyable to shoot, because its been stripped and polished 3-4 times and has about 1200 rounds through it.  But, the stacking is still a bit annoying.

One of my P07s went in for a repair for severe stacking and came back pretty good.  It is now a very nice trigger after some polishing and shooting.

I still have a P07 with some very annoying stacking in the rear just prior to break which is very annoying.  MTF on that one.

Compare these to my P09 SR and its amazing. A non stacking P gun is amazing.  I'll bet a properly tuned P09 can match the performance in the Shadow 2 - in fact there is a video out of a guy who shoots competition regularly who does better with his P09 than is Shadow.
