I got a driver bit stuck in a set screw and I had a local gunsmith "modify" it in order to remove the screw. Needless to say only one set screw can fit in there now. This is why I was considering getting the 2620 to get something strong enough to bypass the need for the set screw. I coated the threads in rocksett after using 90 rubbing alcohol to clean it and the comp came off after 1 box of Winchester white box. I'm probably doing something wrong

Rocksett sucks honestly. It has it's place but securing a pistol comp isn't it from the testing we've done with it.

So I re installed the p09 comp with red loctite and I could only put 1 set screw and it's holding up fine. I also got a pm comp for my p07 and I don't know if you guys made some revisions to it but the fit was insanely tight to the point where I thought it was a problem because the slide wouldn't go into battery.

But like with most things when you actually use it it works fine or in this case great. Loosened up when I was firing it, firs perfect and no jams, using a 15# recoil spring. I installed the set screws with no loctite and they fell out under recoil but the red loctite held the comp on just fine.

PM you have my p10 barrel to get nitride coated just got the notification today, it will be the last part of my project I'll post some pics when I have it all together.

Heres the p07

I'm confused. Why would the comp stop the gun from going into battery? What's tight? I'm not following you there. lol

We did get the barrel. Is that the one that the last owner decided to cerakote black or something?

Yes I had mark from ncengravers sandblast it to prep for the coating.

The comp was so tight that I threaded it on and when it was perfectly timed I could move it like a quarter inch more, so I timed it right loctited it down and when I was manipulating the slide before I took it to the range I had to tap it into battery. But like I said after I actually shot it, never jammed never hung up and when manipulating the slide now it's perfect. The comp on the p09 didn't fit as tight but it has been running perfectly too and hasn't moved at all since I cleaned it up and re install it using red loctite all the way around the threads.

I have a parker mountian machine Comp, never ran it on a p10c since I sold it but I did run one on a Glock 19 and like it BUT I?m not longer a fan of bigger comps. Now I?m selling the Comp with P10s and maybe whenever they come out with a threaded barrel that?ll be a match made in heaven for someone
