Prices on used RAMI BD
« on: April 23, 2019, 08:58:04 PM »
A friend of mine who's the local FFL/Gunsmith here in town has a friend up in the Dallas are who has a rami bd that he will sell for $500.  It's less than a year old complete with case, mags, etc.  He says he put less than 200 rounds through it.  The only reason he's thinking about selling is that he feels it's a little too big and heavy for him to carry everyday compared to his new P365.  He won't budge on the price.  Says he paid a little over $650 for it and if he can't get at least $500 he'll keep it for a range gun.  I having a hard time finding any used ones for sale on the internet but the new ones I find are all selling for $625 and up.  So, is $500 a fair price?

LOL!  Probably, but since I'm new to the CZ world I thought I would ask just to be sure.

If I had an opportunity to buy another lightly used 2075BD for $500, I'd be buying.

Thanks!  I felt like it was a reasonable price but wanted to say just to make sure.

Hiya and thx for your thread. A subcompact thats to big and heavy to EDC, I'd continue looking for a more motivated seller, check our for sale ads here too. I had a manual safety version and took another 250-300 to get my short reset and hammer in to get the trigger where I wanted. I'd gotten it to round out the collection, but it didn't hold a candle to a p-01 for EDC. Be well.

I have checked the sales section here but nothing there.  These rami's are hard to find, especially the bd versions.  I can't find any used bd models anywhere on the internet, and no one seems to have any new ones in stock.

Aluminum framed CZ pistols are imported in a few small batches over the course of the year. They are everywhere very briefly, then disappear from view until the next batch arrives. I've been demo-ing CZ for 4 years now and have only seen 3 new 2075BD pistols (and 1 used one) on the shelf in gun shops.

Well the guy that my ffl/gunsmith knew has decided not the sell his rami bd.  Now he wants to keep it......the bum!

So the search continues.  The BD model is scarce as hens teeth, as my grandfather use to say.  The ones I do find are all in the $700 range, or real close to it.  That's a little out of my budget right now.  I may have to settle for the safety model.  As least I can find some of those new and used at more reasonable prices.

I felt like the BD model would be better for CC because I don't like to carry condition 1.  Yes I know it's safe so don't start on me about that.  It's just a personal thing.  I've owned and shot 1911's since way back in the mid 60's.  I've manually decocked them many, many, many times without a problem, but I don't like doing it.  It's an accident waiting to happen.  But decockers can fail also.  Anything mechanical can and will fail sooner or later.  Plus the safety on the rami doesn't stick out as far as one on a 1911 so I'm guessing that it's harder to work.  At least for some people.  People with smaller hands, or shorter fingers, like me.  Decisions, decisions..........

Sorry to hear you missed out on this one. "He who hesitates...", but on the other side of the coin "Patience is a virtue". I'd suggest watching on Gun Broker. There are several vendors who offer CZ products at great prices WHEN they're in stock. Stick with an established seller with a good rating. I can recommend D&L Shooting Supplies in RI, they're a great source for CZs. It seems CZ USA gets products in batches. They never know exactly what will be coming so some of the pistols become scarce or unavailable on occasion. The Rami BD is one of those. I watched for a few months until I bought mine and noticed a good $100.00 price swing when they were scarce/sold out. You need to pay attention to the shipping charges on Gun Broker, some low ball the item price and jack up the shipping charge. If you keep an eye out though you'll turn one up.

I'm very patient when I'm buying on GB, or eBay for that matter.  I always want to know who I'm buying from and I always check for hidden charges like jacked up shipping or CC charges.  There are a number of CZ's on GB right now, both new and used, but most are listed not much under MSRP especially when you add in all the costs.  I still can't understand why some people bidding on an item will end up paying as much for a used item when they could have bought the same item new for about the same cost.  I watch a used rami bd sell for right at $600 just a few days ago.  There are several new ones listed for less than $100 more.  Makes no sense to me.  I'll keep looking, I'm patient and I'm not in any hurry.

I would go to places like grab a gun and get on their notification list. And then be prepared to act quickly.

Hiya and thanks for the thread. When shopping used notice if seller lists out custom mods from CGW or CZC. Things like extended firing pin, improved TRS,competition hammer, trigger work, short reset, kydex holster,FO sights, etc can drive a new rami over a grand easily,so 500-600 represents a value. Be well.
