My F will auto index when a full mag is inserted.....aka.....the proper way to load this firearm.

Same here, "We don't need no stinking slide release"  O0

Yes it works as a release and that is the first way the manual says to reload during shooting.

For whatever design reason, these guns are very prone to inertia reloads (technical term for having the slide go home after inserting a mag).

The finish used on the release and slide contribute to this I think.  Taking a bit of Flitz to the back of the slide release and the bottom of the breech face slicks it up very nicely.  Or, you can just shoot it a bunch to get the same effect.

Once broken in, these are some of the best feeling striker fired guns out in terms of control feel.

At first my slide stop would not work as a slide release! However, after about 400 rounds the Gun loosened up and I got my slide release working great! The Gun will also do an auto slide release when I slam in a full Mag...very cool. You gotta shoot these Guns so they can loosen up.

I don’t usually shoot to slide lock, but if I do I just slap a fresh mag in and let the slide go forward on its own.
