NEW SP01.....Trigger finger question
« on: May 05, 2019, 08:26:52 PM »
My new SP is sweet!!! won"t be my last one either!!!!But.....  Just broke my SP 01 out of 10 day hell (Cali)....Went shooting twice and got the trigger bite the second time I went out....Don't know what I did different.... I feel like I'm putting a lot of trigger finger in to shoot it on target. Was wondering if palm swell grips would help...I have smallish hands but have always favored larger grip.....any help or suggestions would be appreciated.... Thanks in advance...

I just recently picked up a sp-01 tactical (my 1st all metal pistol ) and suffered from the same problem . How ever after a lot of dry fire (use a o ring ) . I find less finger in the trigger helped me and seemed to take out most of the bite . Maybe down the road will put in the combat style trigger .  This is a accurate gun and there's basically no felt recoil compared to my poly frames . Really liking the change from my poly frames .

lok palmswells..
plus a few layers of skate tape on the front and back strap
and you can file down the top of the hump on the top right to fine tune the panel to the length of your trigger finger

Get your grip as high as you can on the pistol. The beavertail should push into the web of your hand. Should help keep your finger in the middle of the trigger, not at the bottom where it lets a piece roll between the end of the trigger and the trigger guard. I also prefer to use the pad of my finger, not the first joint. I can't remember the last time I got trigger bite from a pistol.

I had to change the trigger on my SP-01. It's too thin, curves too much, and will pinch your finger between its end, and the bottom of the trigger guard.
CGW has what you need.
