Dimensional differences between 75B 9mm and 40S&W?
« on: May 06, 2019, 02:09:33 PM »
Just received a kydex holster for my 40.  Doesn't fit.  Is there a difference?  It's my first CZ 40.

The CZ 75b in 40S&W uses a different slide geometry than the 9mm 75B. While the 9mm has the scalloped muzzle, the 40S&W is the same width front to back. If your kydex holster is molded in at the muzzle, a 40S&W slide won't fit.

Here are some example's of what I'm talking about:

40S&W

Yep.  Guess I'll have to buy a 9mm now to fit my new holster.  Live and learn I guess.

The leather holster I have on order should work with either the 9 or 40.  Thanks for clearing it up for me.

Put a heat gun or good hair dryer on it.

Put a heat gun or good hair dryer on it.

But then I won't be as motivated to just get a 9mm 75B.

Put a heat gun or good hair dryer on it.

Just did that with my new kydex holster for my CZ75B in .40 S&W.  Made sure the pistol was unloaded, heated up the holster with the heat gun, jammed the pistol in and let the kydex cool down.

Oh yeah, my excuse, in the past, for ordering a new gun has been to buy magazines for it first.  Then you need the pistol/rifle so you can use your new magazines.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Yup, magazines first. And make sure to get at least 6 so you can't chicken out on the new firearm!

I buy new boots and tell my wife I gotta buy a new shotgun or pistol to match the shade of the boots. Feed 'em back the "Honey I have to buy a new dress and shoes to match the purse I just bought." Always earns me...."THE LOOK". Sometimes I think wives have no sense of humor. But then again, they marry us. :)
