cz models
« on: May 25, 2019, 03:05:21 PM »
took my friend to the range today, he wants to get a 9mm semi for target shooting. he tried a few of my striker fired pistols, don't care for them, he shot my witness match elite, CZ 75B SA and my new Shadow2. he cannot afford the shadow 2. he actually likes my CZ 75 B SA, i was looking around and local dealers say they are discontinued. so it brings a question, if he were to get a CZ 75B, can it be converted to near the trigger of my CZ 75B SA without much expense. am i missing any options

thanks

SAO conversion is easy, lots of posts on the forum, just need to remove the disconnector and add a SAO trigger. If I remember CZ custom has the OEM style SAO trigger for $8.00 . But the better trigger is one with 2 adjustment screws, from either CGW or CZ custom. To improve  trigger pull you will need a competition hammer.  I have tried them all, like the one CGW makes best. It is available with comp or ring spur  With this hammer  and polishing inside you can create a shadow and have fun doing it. Lots of internet videos and help from the forum and cgw/CZ custom. Not a difficult task.

For target shooting what about the TS.  Cheaper than the S-2 but not much more that buying a 75 B and then modifying it.
If I had known how much better being retired is than working I would have done it FIRST.

75B SA's have been discontinued, but there are still some out there.  An online search should turn one up if that's what your friend wants.

the cz ts are discontinued, but they are over 1100 bucks, he cannot swing that, so far we found a new 75 b sa for just over 500
