Just checking to see if anyone has any personal experience with the new match barrels from Primary Machine. I know they do good slide milling and cerakote. Interested in doing a comped p09 with their new barrel.

I have the TiN P-10 C barrel. It?s excellent. If I could change one thing, I would have gone with the black nitride instead, just for the visual aspect (thought I?d love TiN, but I only ?like? it.)

I have one of their threaded BLK nitride P10C barrels. It's everything they claim it to be. Tested from a rest at 25yds it cut group size in half compared to my OEM barrel.

I watched the videos on the OEM vs your barrel comparison on the ransom rest. Looked good. I don't shoot factory ammo so was interested in people's experience with handloads. I can get 1" groups with my handloads at 20 yards braced with OEM barrel. Just curious what the match barrel would do. Have you found out if they prefer a particular bullet weight or if your getting similar results with a wider range of bullet weights?

Our barrels produced groups at least half the size as the OEM barrels we tested with everything from 110gr all the way to 158gr. Lighter weight produced the best groups.

My testing and shooting is with handloads. Coated lead, so not ideal for for 25yd groups. With various brands, bullet weights, and loads I couldn't do better than 3-4" rested groups, almost always with a flyer or two. Many times I would get 5-6" groups, very frustrating.
With the PM barrel, rested groups are down in the 1.5" range with pretty much every load/bullet I've tried. No doubt I could do better with jacketed bullets.
If your P10 shoots poor groups with the OEM barrel, buy a PM barrel with confidence. If your OEM barrel yields 1" groups, what more do you want from a $400 plastic gun?

I will keep my p09 barrel OEM but have everything ready to go in my cart for a kickin p07 Roland Special, new barrel, comp, and rmr milling/mount with back up sights.

Raining, do I need to send an email letting them know the slide is coming in to keep from shipping out the barrel and comp separate or will they hold on to them and make sure they drop in, mailing all of it back at once?

I bought one and I?d highly recommend one. As far as groups go...it?s a pistol, it?ll be as accurate as you are. But I found the barrel just makes the overall gun function better, you can just feel the difference in the tolerances when racking the slide. I also feel it definitely feeds better. And also looks bad ass with the flutes and flush cut crown.

Will run a comparison with my OEM barrel, OEM threaded and the Primary Machine barrel with my reloads. Mounted my Holosun on the P09 and moved the RMR over for the P07. Makes shooting tiny groups really easy. Shout out for Holosun getting the RMR footprint right. Fit right on my Primary Machine Trijicon milled slide with just the right amount of tension.

By design or intent, this thread has morphed into a free ad for this company. That is absolutely NOT right and will not be allowed.

If this company truly wants to support the CZ community, then they should act like other responsible CZ vendors and pay for an ad. I may be wrong, but a quick scan of this entire forum did not find any such ad.

This is doubly insulting at a time when the owners of the board are having to request member contributions simply to keep the bills paid.
