PCR or P-01 and why?

Which do you prefer, PCR or P-01?  Why?

I currently have 2 P-01's and a PCR.  One of the 01's and the PCR have had CGW love added to them, which the PCR being really nice.  The problem is, I shoot both 01's better than the PCR.  And, the 01's feel a tad better in my hand, not that the PCR feels bad though.

Since I like the 01's better, I have been thinking about possibly moving the PCR down the road and picking up a something else in the CZ family.

I have a pcr that is stock other than grips and sights. My gf loves the pcr. I may have let her have it and get a p01 just to have something different.

I have both as well, my P01 being the omega variety. Like you both have been to CGW for their love and affection.

Of the two, I’ve had and shot the P01 longer and it’s FO front sight is more visible for me, so I shoot it better at this time.

I hope to shoot my PCR more this IDPA season and have a fairer comparison.

But if I had to make a choice today, it’ll be the P01.

Regardless, I’ll be keeping both- they are that good.

I settled on the PCR as my go to for everything 10 years ago and haven't looked back. Guns have come and gone but none has or likely ever will replace the PCR. The P-01 is a plenty nice gun but I just have no use for a rail and the PCR lacking the rail just makes it's footprint that much smaller.

I have a P-01... Since it truly is capable of being an EDC, car, bedside and range gun.. Im going to utilize the rail and get a quick mount light ( Olight PL-2 mini ) for bedside use..  then just remove it in the AM when holstering for EDC... nice option the P-01 provides ..

If you don’t shoot the PCR as well as the others and you are not a collector, then by all means, move on and try something else

Is there really any difference between shooting or carrying the PCR, Compact, and P-01?

All the specs look very very close.

The utility afforded by the light rail is all I needed to make the decision to go with the P01, most places it is dark roughly half the time. I've never owned or fired a PCR but I don't need to.

If you definitely need the option of a light on your firearm then choose the P-01 else the PCR is equally good.  Also things unique to the PCR are its serrated trigger and the rear sight (specifically the cut for the rear sight) .  You might want to take these two things into consideration when choosing between the two pistols.  Another thing is price and availability.  In my area the P-01 carries a small premium over the PCR but the availability of the P-01 and P-01 Omega is better.

I have both, I like both guns and shoot both with some sort of regularity. I like the P-01 better. Because I shoot it with a bit more confidence, maybe because I compete with an SP-01 and it is so similar that it is a head thing. Doesn't matter though I like both will keep both and shoot the P-01 better.
