P07/09 slides interchangeable?

I have a P09 and was wondering if a P07 slide would fit/ work on a P09 frame and a P09 slide work on a P07 frame.

Would love to see pictures if anyone has done this

Doesn't work. The slide is either too long or too short when you put them on the different frames.

Yes, mechanically it works. Aesthetically pleasing not so much.
