P01 Omega issue
« on: July 10, 2019, 03:37:43 PM »
I have an Omega p01 with cgw reset kit, extended FP, and spring kit. Everything was amazing for about 800 rounds but now the SA occasionally bottoms out and stops. Then you have to pull extremely hard for it to break. cgw said to send the trigger shoe to have them cut a relief. Graciously for free but I'd rather do it myself if it's just a bit of material or if there's another option. What do y'all think? Also it doesn't have a set screw.

Assuming you installed  these parts yourself, I think I'd just send them the trigger, and let them do it.. They probably know exactly what's wrong, and where to take material off, and it they screw it up in the process, they'll replace it.

They said it's common-ish for Omega models because the tolerances are less consistent than classic models. Dang. Was hoping someone knew how to do this here haha. Really didn't want to down my baby.

I'd send it to CGW and let them properly rework the part as they said they would. They know what they are doing and it won't take them long.

I've got two of them.  No issues with the factory parts.  Maybe it's the combination of factory parts and CGW parts that causes the problems, some times.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

It is parts stacking.  My CGW SR kit in one of my P09s won't work with all the parts.  I take out the lifter and use a stock lifter and all works well - even short reset.

If you have to pay shipping, I would just take out the lifter and try it.
