Have you checked out any of the Parker Machine Mounts?  I am a lefty as well, and have the right-hand QD Mount for the Scorpion S3 (same as S1 on the site). I have the Micro so I don’t deal with a folder, but the design is sound and they have several options.

Is that big open hole, a "QD" hole?  I'd go with one of these on the side rail - ... and call it good.

If that AIN'T a QD mount... you may hafta go QD on the front, HK clip on the rear...  :-[

I too shoot lefty and I have been happy using a midwest industries qd sling adapter on my sb tactical brace and a rail mounted magpul ad adapter. Mine is setup with the midwest mounted on the left side of the brace while aiming down sights and the magpul just behind the front sight on the top rail. I have not tried using the sling with the brace folded but I do know that in that configuration you would be able to fold it. Good luck.
