P09 vs Glock 34
« on: October 11, 2019, 04:35:00 PM »
I was at the range recently with my P09 which I picked up a few months ago.  This was my first venture out to 25 yds with it.  There was a significant difference with accuracy to the CZ's credit.  The CZ grouped much better than the Glock 34.  Same 147gr. ammo.

Overall, I was impressed the most with the Point of Aim/Point of Impact of the CZ with stock sights.  The Glock 34 with Glock night sights was not as impressive.

I have a p09 and a 34, both are modded. The P09 had the cgw pro kit and the 34 is a gen 5 mos with an agency trigger shoe, so on the low end for glock trigger modification.
I definitely remember being much more accurate with irons on the cz but I've never shot glock with irons all that well personally. However dot to dot they perform pretty similar for me accuracy wise. The cz is definitely the softer shooting /faster cycling pistol.
It's probably unfair to compare a cz cgw tuned single action to pretty much any striker trigger (I have a q5 match and a p10 with the theta trigger, I have a decent idea about striker triggers).
I used to be very down on glock and my biggest problem with them is still the same that they are way too expensive for what you get especially compared to other stock offerings on the market, but after you customize the glock to your liking they are just as good as anything else out there imo. But if you are looking to spend 4-500 bucks on a pistol and be done with it, pretty much all the non glock offerings are superior in most tangible ways
