CGW CZ97B Upgrade
« on: July 06, 2019, 01:12:38 PM »
Question for anyone that has done CGW upgrade like pro kit or spring kit just wondering how it worked for you? I did spring trigger on P01 it’s lot better so figured 97 would be as well. I did Custom shop upgrade on 75B it’s wonderful either company is great.
Thanks for help

I replaced OEM springs with lighter FP spring, FP block spring, hammer spring, trigger return spring and a floating trigger pin.  I also did some polishing to smooth out the trigger, as well as pairing it with a new set of rubber grips.  DA and SA come in at 5.6# and 2.5#.  It works pretty well, and it is one of my favorites.  It is a sweet and accurate shooter with very little recoil.  New sights would be nice, but I am happy with it right now.

Thanks I am thinking bout spring upgrades for sure. I did that to my P01 plus trigger and polish. I ordered new grips from Lok I love look of aluminum grips just don’t fit my hand well enough. Sounds like good way to go. It does need trigger work. I’m here in Mississippi working and visiting on way home to Texas hope I can stop by CGW check out stuff. Bought my P01 kits there
Thanks

With parts from CGW I did a SAO conversion and upgraded the sights, and added the CZ rubber grips.  Turned out real nice.

Also thinking about the SAO conversion on mine. Is the SAO a shorter reach than the DA/SA trigger in the SA mode?

I didn’t take any measurements before and after, so unfortunately I can’t answer.  For my hand size, I found the DA pull to be a bit difficult, but in SA as delivered it was more comfortable.  I really enjoy the SAO trigger and upgrades, as this is a range gun.

I am doing the SAO trigger plus the manual safety hammer kit. My 97B is a range gun only as well.

I come from the school of you don't use acronyms without stating the full meaning in the first statement (USAF) so, would some responder tell this new 97B owner tell who CGW is?  Google sends me to a grinding wheel company, who OBVIOUSLY isn't the site.  Thanks.....just trying to increase my core knowledge.
