Firing pin stop pin question
« on: November 24, 2024, 12:13:40 PM »
I am thinking about putting in the extended firing pin and reduced spring with a 13# hammer spring. Probably wont change out the plunger spring.

Question is .. I have a newer model PO7 and it comes with a spiral wound firing pin stop pin which I think is a GREAT improvement over my older one that came with the split pin. Site says I have to use their "shock absorbing pin" in order to use the extended firing pin and lighter firing pin spring ... Is my wound pin not going to cut it? will it damage the new firing pin? I kind of figure if it works with the stock firing pin it should work fine with the Cajun firing pin but .. before  I spend the money I thought I would ask.

I ALWAYS replace the factory pin with the CGW pin. If you dry fire a CZ you should always use a snap cap or an o-ring under the hammer as most here do otherwise the pin will become worn at an accelerated rate.
