I thought it was strange to see a 17 year stamped at a show marked as new. Regardless, I went in on the purchase. Still haven’t gotten it to the range yet but thought I would ask if the 17 year Ramis had issues.

Generally, none of the production years for RAMI had "issues" as you call them. It is a very good pistol. Having said that, any mechanical device may experience some hiccups on occasion - that is why you have factory warranty.

Go to the range and enjoy it.

Many people report having issues with the 14 round magazines I installed a extra force springs in mine and they work fine.

Ran 150 rounds through it today. It ran without a hickup. :)

Good to hear you're off to a good start!
They are really nice pistols.
The only suggestion is to purchase a couple of outer recoil springs. They're available for about $5 each from CZ. Especially when the gun is new and a bit tight, it may only go 500 to 1000 rounds before the outer spring weakens and gun may begin to fail fully loading a round or going into battery. Then every 3rd outer spring change, I replace the entire inner and outer set. This is per CZ C.S. Rep recommendation.
Now that mine's worn in I can go 1000+ before outer spring needs replacing, 3000 complete set. This is a common issue on short-barreled pistols because the short springs have to work extra hard. Wolff makes springs for the RAMI, but I've never tried 'em.  YMMV

Keep an eye on the factory Firing Pin Retaining Pin located in the hole towards the rear of the slide. If you plan on doing allot of dry fire you can put a rubber O ring behind the Firing Pin. Improved FPRP options are available if you find the need.

Gratz on the RAMI.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)
