Slide serrations PCR vs all others

Is it just me or does anyone else find the fact that the rear serrations being vertical and the front serrations angled aesthetically incongruous?
  I know I know, get over it but why do they do that?

Well it bugs me so much I bought one.

Do those serrations really make the PCR faster? Man I hope so, I'm kinda slow, but, I can see where this is going.

In my opinion P-01 can be drawn faster. Vertical rear serrations create less turbulence during the draw. I speak as lefty, so cannot confirm if this also applies to right handed shooters
