I'm disputing the statement that a decocker trigger is somehow inferior to a safety model trigger.

Yes working/tuning on a decocker model is slightly more difficult than a safety model just because there are more moving parts/springs.  This does not correlate to it not performing as good in the end.  Both triggers have the same potential in competent hands.

Cheers,

I don't believe a decocker is inferior. Just different tech. More complex than a safety version. Like most things though, you have people that like them or hate them. I had and currently have decocker weapons. One has a safety, if you can call it that. It's a hammer block. But works with the ambidextrous decocker. As long as it's up, it's in safe mode, trigger won't engage. But push it all the way down and it decocks. Crazy hearing it drop on the firing pin block. Makes the hair on your neck stand up.
