Found interesting gunsmith in Europe
« on: November 02, 2019, 06:11:32 AM »
Hello!
As we in EU don't have access to CGW or CZ Custom parts, I have found something interesting.
(Yes, we can buy CGW and CZC parts but it takes ages, ITAR, and/or costs double than in USA).

Zendl gunsmith located in Czechia. https://www.zendl.cz/

Until now i have found next parts:

1. Bushing

Alternative to CGW. CGW 10X bushing costs 100€ (110$) here.
I have tried booth CGW and Zendl, groups are the same size, cant decide which one is better.
Zendl bushing is 41 € (45$)  https://www.zendl.cz/Presna-voditka-hlavni-c8_0_1.htm
There are models for shadow 1/2, 75/85, compacts...

2. Full adjustable rear sights
Yes, you can have that in EU from CZUB but a nice alternative.  Zendl sights are the same as you buy from CZUB. only zendl logo vs CZUB logo
Looks same to me:

https://www.zendl.cz/Miridla-c2_0_1.htm

3. Thinner front sight
You cant find any thinner than stock front sight in EU, dawson will not send it here.
2.4 mm (0.095in) for 75/85/shadow https://www.zendl.cz/Muska-CZ-75-FO-1mm-2-4mm-d61.htm

4. hammers
looks like ghost hammers from CZ custom
https://www.zendl.cz/Kohouty-c5_0_1.htm
there are SA/DA competition hammers, thicker (wide 315) hammer, SAO hammer....

5. Springs
https://www.zendl.cz/Pruziny-c7_0_1.htm
stronger sear and trigger spring, hard to find items in EU....

If I had known how much better being retired is than working I would have done it FIRST.

75B (12.8) vs SP-01 (14).

Take a look one more time, there are two bushings that are 14mm deep. The one with a 17.3 diameter is for SP-01 and 16.3 is for cz75.But then there is one more option-16.3mm diameter and 12.8mm deep bushing also listed for CZ75.

It says in description:
Ur?eno pro starší typy pistolí s hlavní o pr?m?ru 12,8mm
(Designed for older types of guns with a barrel diameter of 12.8mm)

Ur?eno pro nov?jší typy pistolí s hlavní o pr?m?ru 14mm
(Designed for newer gun types with 14mm barrel)

If you want to you can ger cgw parts from www.vanmulekom.com in the Netherlands. They ship anywhere. Picked up a cgw bushing last weekend.

I have booth Zendl and CGW bushing for my Shadow2. @25m results are the same, I cant see any difference in accuracy (booth are much better than my stock bushing was). BUT Zendl costs €41.80 and CGW is 89.50€.

OK,
left one is for "high end" models like Shadow1,2, TS(O), Shadow line...that is all clear.

Probably in some period of time there were the same models with different barrel diameter, 12,8mm and 14mm. That is the only explanation I could give to you and to myself
There were so many models and versions from CZUB, I doubt if even they know them all. 75 transitional, 75B, 75B new edition, 2 versions of 85 combat, steel frame compacts, etc...

dimensions labeled there are inner and outer bushing diameter
17,3mm/14mm
16,3mm/14mm
16,3mm/12,8mm
