CZ 75D PCR decocker issue
« on: July 08, 2019, 06:32:54 AM »
Went down to my FFL to pick up my brand new PCR.  Got it home, racked the slide, pressed down on the decocker...NOTHING, no movement, not a thing.  So here I am thinking, what the hell, does it need to be loaded in order to decock.  I load the gun, point in a safe direction, hit the decocker....NOTHING.  Unload the gun, take out the manual, looking at videos, etc.  Nothing I'm doing seems to be incorrect.  Anyone else have this issue?  I'm going to call DEguns.net this morning.  They assured me when I bought it that it was a brand new gun.  I hate that I might have to send this to CZ to be fixed before I even fire a single shot!

cock the gun and depress the de-cocking lever till it stops then apply some more moderate force to the lever to force it past the stop. They take a little pressure.Never heard of this issue with a CZ de-cocker before.

...just a few thoughts. How does the hammer move if you cock it manually, does it feel smooth and can you manually release it to the half cock click? You may want to try manually pulling the hammer back beyond the cocked position (take some pressure off) and with the other hand working the decocker lever? Like was mentioned they can be stiff out of the box but will smooth out.
Good luck

Yeah, I've had people fail to operate my decockers properly because they didn't depress the lever fully.

Don't feel bad.  The same thing happened to me a few weeks ago when I got my P01 home.  Newbies... ::)

Same here!  When I first tried the decocker on my PCR, I did not fully depress the lever.  I expected it to be easier.   ::)

It gets easier as it breaks in. Mine takes very little effort now

Thanks, I had the same issue and couldn't get help from the dealer by phone, so I tried here. Mine works fine also following your coaching. The search function works!!!

Thanks again,
