Where did you find your Pre B CZ 75?
« on: December 01, 2019, 11:07:55 AM »
There is an seller on gunbroker -like DWJ Imports- that sells the pre B 75's from time to time. A year and a half ago, Aim had a small amount of the transitional 75 models available that sold out quickly. Any other places that sell Pre B's?

I always use DWJ (used to be CDI) exclusively because they put the import marks on the barrel and not the frame.

That’s interesting and good to know.
I wish all importers did that!

Me too, I have a couple short rails and both of those import marks were lasered onto the magwell.  That’s the best and most discrete method I’ve seen but you won’t see that kind of effort on milsurp CZ’s

I also like that CDI and now DWJ shows the exact pistol in the photos and not representative stock images. Bought from them in the past, will continue in the future.

+1

I check their GB page every day. They list all kinds of interesting things that usually disappear very quickly.

Most of his items really beat up,something decent looking is close to $400,by the time you make it look acceptable you have already spent too much.

If you provide your own labor, you can have a nicely restored pre-b transitional full of upgraded parts for less than the cost of a new Shadow. Or even a very early B model with interesting rollmarks. At this point though, for some of us it's more a labor of love than a way to save money. It's not the right path for everybody though.

I second the thumbs up on DWJ, bought 6  or 8 from him , all excellent . Bought 2 older CZ's  from another  that I regret, one from a VERY well known importer was described as blued and it was polycoat. Took forever to get a refund.
Have upgraded several of my pre B's . Really like the SAO using a TS hammer from CZ custom, take advantage of the wide hammer slot in all but the latest preB's. With the standard SAO trigger this is an amazingly cheap upgrade and the results are outstanding

Mine came from a local shop. No import marks. Probably a GI bring back.
