Maybe before you start messing up with sight, give yourself few more range trips.
POA/POI is setup differently for each manufacturer / model. One firearm uses 6 o'clock hold, other center hold. Ask RSO to shoot your pistol. Try to aim low. All these cost you nothing.
If you find that this doesn't work, then contact Dawson.
Their sight math is quite simple, you need ruler and few test shots at the range. If I remember correctly if you won't be satisfied with new sight height, they will replace it for free.
With fiber rod color... if you prefer green you can buy green rod and replace it by yourself (if Dawson doesn't do this).
My case (few months ago): my PPQ sights were setup for 6 o'clock. I liked it. I was able to see clear target not covered by front sight. Then I switched to CZ P-01, which had center hold, and all my shots were low. It took me few days to change my habit, but eventually it worked (no money invested
