Mags and +2 for the Compact

I know will NOT work in standard CZ mags like the 14 round compact mag.  But, me thinks they will work on the 17 round MecGars and likely the 15 round Mecgars now available for the CZ COmpact.  Anyone try them???  I also think one could sand off some of the follower base on the 16 rounders for the CZ and make them 17 rounders.  The tube is the same size as the 17 rounders...

Tried a +2 MecGar Beretta extender on a 17 round MecGar (75B mag) and it is perfect, so I will assume it turns the 15 rounder for the compact to a 17 rounder.

I would not expect them to work on the 14/15 round compact magazines.  The lip above the groove is pretty thick and may not allow the magazine to insert far enough to lock in.

I've tried them on the 16 round magazines for the full sized CZ75/85 and they won't work.  Won't work in/on the CZ75/85.  The 16 round magazine with the those +2's you're looking at will work on the Compacts, you'll just see more metal between the bottom of the grip frame and the +2 base.

An alternative for a 16 round nice looking magazine for the compacts is this one.

Looks like this on the P01.  16 round on the urban gray model with the standard 14 round on the black P01.

I greatly prefer the standard 16 rd mag with the spacer baseplate for the compact. It's simple and you don't have to worry about the +2 adapters coming loose. The added bonus is you can swap the baseplate and use it in a full size pistol.
