Red dot for shadow 2

Need help form you guys.

What red dot I choose to my shadow 2?

Thinking about Romeo 3.

What would be the perfect choice?

What do you want the dot to do?

Some applications prefer a smaller dot (2 or so MOA for precision) others like larger (8 MOA for faster acquisition)

There are options for Red or Green. I find the green dot easier to see.

Holosun offers models which have 2 MOA dot, 32 MOA circle or both. These are available in red or green.

Small and light or do you want a big window (like the SRO)?

More information will lead to better answers.

(Otherwise I will just say get a Holosun 507c Green since my preference is obviously universal    )

Looking for 2/3 MOA.

Never used a red dot, só in doubt about the window size.

But for fast and accurate.

I think it would be a big window.

As noted, the smaller dot is more precise, the larger, faster to acquire.  I use a 3 Moa on a buckmark .22 for squirrels.

Reading about the Leupold pro. It fits on the M17.

Is there any red dot made for shadow2?

Is your Shadow 2 one of the Optics Ready versions, or is it a regular slide?  Here in the US we don’t get the Optics Ready version, just the regular slide.  So our options for red dots is to get the slide milled for a specific red dot’s footprint, or get a optic mounting plate that fits in the rear sight’s dovetail. 

If you have a Optics Ready S2, don’t they make mounting plates specific to the red dot that fits in the optic cut?

If it were me I would get the Holosun! If you have the slide machined for the Holosun it will also fit the New SRO from Trijicon and the RMR from Trijicon. I would rather have 3 options that just one, but that's me, LOL The Holosun has a nice field of view and so does the SRO. I looked through an SRO on a 1911 a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty awesome but they are pricey !!! Get the Holosun, there awesome and about 1/2 the price.

I second the vote for Holosun/ Trijicon. I have a Shadow 2 that has Holosun 507 done by Cajun Gun works.  He'll even sight it in if you send the sight in with your barrel, great folks to deal with. I have two of the Holosuns, an RMR, Nikon, Burris 2&3& Leupold. The Holosun has become my go t\to red dot.

Thanks to every one. As I live in Brazil an I’m on vacation in the US.

Will take back home the Holosun anda the SRO.

These tho guys together are cheaper than on in Brazil, and only if you back order.
