New RAMI
« on: December 21, 2019, 05:22:15 PM »
I picked up a new RAMI yesterday and have a quick question. The 10 round magazine is very hard to load to capacity, must use an UpLULA. After loaded, the rounds rattle in the magazine, is this common?

Try banging the mag with your hand to seat the ammo. Sometimes that works but I think it's normal for that mag/gun.

Everything about the RAMI is stiff at first, including the mags. I kept them loaded, between unloads at the range. The recoil spring is super stiff as well. bleep near impossible to release the slide on an empty mag. Everything smoothes out after a few hundred rounds.

It won't rattle once you chamber a round, as long as you don't top the mag back off. Condition is inherent to the staggered design of the magazine.

One of my mags was almost impossible to load ten rounds at first, it did get better after a while. Great little shooter. Did you get safety or decocker?

This may not help much, but I take all new mags apart before using and clean them inside and out with Hoppe's #9.  When I wipe them out, I always find a bunch of reddish brown residue on the cleaning rag.  I think it helps keep the mag feeding better down the road.  I always have to use a UpLULA to load the mags.

I like the 10 rounder and can't understand why Mecgar does not make their new blue follower anti-friction design in the 10 rounders for the Rami. These are the best CZ 75 mags IMHO.

Totally agree with you on the Mecgar mags! I have a bunch of them for my other CZ's!

I would encourage everyone that owns a Rami to contact MecGar and request that these newer design mags be made. They are the easiest to load and download of any CZ magazines.
