I picked up an Omega last year. It replaced the VP9 as my primary handgun.
Several years ago, I considered the non-Omega version of the P01 before deciding on the VP9. My initial concern with the P01, being a lefty, was not being able to lock the slide release back if needed, as the VP9 is ambidextrous. But when I picked up the Omega at my LGS, I realized that I could hit the slide stop with the main knuckle of my trigger finger. Bought it on the spot. It remains the best handgun/rifle/shotgun purchase I have ever made.
With one exception, I have nothing but strong, positive feedback to give regarding the P01 Omega. The ergonomics are fantastic, this thing is a nail driver, the added weight to the frame limits muzzle flip (but being aluminum alloy its not as heavy as its all-steel cousins).
My only "negative" comment is that the takedown process is more complicated than with the VP9, but that's a minor inconvenience that I'll gladly take as part of the package.
Buy this gun, you won't regret it.
