Shadow 2 blue or Langdon Tactical Elite
« on: February 08, 2020, 08:24:30 PM »
Before today, I was sure that I will be getting a Langdon Tactical Elite  Centurion in a couple of months. I stopped by at my LGS, and handled a Shadow 2 blue for the first time. Now, I am not sure what to get. I now have 4 Beretta 92s, one of which is a Wilson Centurion. I currently have a CZ 75b stainless, a 97b, a CZ Evo, and a a VZ 58. I had an SP01, P07, and a regular Sp01 in the past.

Two excellent guns for sure. I have handled the Shadow2 and would like to have the SA version that just came out. I have owned my Elite LTT since they fist came out. It is an outstanding 92 and my favorite 92 version period. I would say what takes it to that level is I got it straight from LTT with the trigger job. You already have some nice Berettas, so maybe go for the Shadow2. I would be willing to bet you end up with both later though anyways!  ;D

I have a low serial Centec, and most of the LTT guns (not planning on buying a 92x Performance LTT, which might also be considered against a shadow).

I prefer a decocker, which is why I didn't buy the Shadow 2 blue, that I could have, twice.  I also think the Shadow 2, IMHO, is more of a range gun, then a carry.  Where the LTT Centurion, is a carry, with a decocker, that I ordered with TJ, NP3, and night sights. I think this is more comparable to the Shadow:

I wish I hadn't bought the Wilson, then I would buy another LTT centurion, and use one for training and one for carry.  However the full size LTT's are close enough for training.
Later I expect to get the railed CZ 75 with a decocker (tactical I think) and have one of the two, perform their magic to make it a comp gun, like the Shadow 2.  I am doing that myself, first, with a BD.

Shadow 2 is a real shooter, but she’s a tad heavy.   I shootmine better than anything else I own and I own a number😏.    I wouldn’t want to carry all day, but she knocks the heck out of plates😊.

If you like the Beretta platform, then you can't go wrong either way. Both are top-notch.

For me, it would be the Shadow 2 hands-down, as I've never warmed up to slide-mounted controls on the Beretta.

The Shadow 2 would be my choice.
Good, bad, I am the guy with the gun.

I tried to get a Shadow 2 SA and could not find one anywhere. My LGS talked to their rep and could not get a commitment on delivery time, and i wanted a new toy NOW, so I settled for a black and blue Shadow 2 and am loving it!
I will get the SA later.

Just got back home from a gunshow where I was able to fo fondle both a CZ Shadow 2 blue and an LTT centurion.  And the winner is the CZ. I am sure that both of them will outshoot me. It just came to which one feels better in my hand.

To be fair, the LTT 92's thankfully have a decocker only setup.

Yeah, I'm aware of that. But I've never liked the decocker being mounted on the slide. Makes a lot more sense to me being mounted a little lower, on the frame.
