Replacement for Mec-Gar +2 base pads

Has anyone put IDPA SSP legal competition base pads (Henning, Taran, Springer, etc) in place of the +2 pads that come with the newer 19 round mags? The 19 round mags seem to bump the gun height over the SSP "box" limit.

The 19rd MecGar mags are the same 17rd MecGar mags with a plus 2 extension.
