Kadet II
« on: February 21, 2020, 12:51:17 PM »
I have been in a shooting slump lately.  Decided to go back to basics with the DOT Torture Drill and my CZ 75B stainless SAO with the Kadet II top end.  Shot about 250 rounds practicing and then put up a new target in an effort to see if I had made any progress.  I’m very happy, because this is the first time I have ever been able to shoot the DOT Torture drill cleanly at 5 yards.  Previously I always had at least 1 to 2 shots out while shooting the string hand or weak hand only portions of the drill.  The weak hand portion has been the most problematic.  I am right handed and right eye dominant.  I discovered that my POI was about 2” to the right when shooting with both eyes open.  Tried closing my left eye and the POI was centered.  Hopefully the practice will help with the IDPA match in March.

I’ll have to measure them, but just guessing they are probably about 3” in diameter.  Looks deceptively simple, but in reality isn’t isn’t.  All shots are fired from a holster.  You can download the targets on line.  I bought the ones I have been using from Midway.
