Excellent reading.
My take away point from it:
Even the Army Marksmanship Unit recognizes that, “Extremely uniform velocities alone are ‘not’ a reliable predictor of accuracy!”

All my loads are accurate enough...it's those rogue ES values that are the issue in terms of making chrono.

So...if I gradually shorten the OAL and/or increase the powder with a very safe starting point, what does one typically see in terms of chrono progression? I envision great variation in speed, then these values tighten up at some point (pressure seal level?), and velocity then rises in some linear fashion, until the velocity sort of plateaus out once you get toward the upper safe end of the load range in question. Is this right?
