Hi, I’m in Greenwood Indiana near Indianapolis and just bought my first CZ a 75 Compact steel frame with safety. I shot a 100 rounds through it and although the trigger was smooth I decided to order the Cajun Gunworks Pro Package, Lok G10 grips, and Dawson 3 dot tritium night sights. My local gunsmith installed the Pro Package but now I’m having a problem where the hammer sometimes won’t drop in double action. If I release the trigger slightly and pull it will release. The overtravel screw in the trigger is not contacting the frame when this happens. I think I may have a disconnect or timing issue. I can also hear the disconnect or rattle when I shake the pistol. Is this normal?

I suggest sending the good folks at CGW an email describing the issue.  I'll bet they'll have some ideas. I just installed a defensive package in my CZ97 and was having a different issue but I emailed CGW and they got back to me the next day with a suggested fix, including a PDF with instructions and photos demonstrating the fix.  I followed instructions and it solved my issue.  You could also post on the CGW forums here as well.  Good luck!

The first thing I would do would be to bring it back to the gunsmith who you had install it, and ask him why it’s doing that. Then go from there. Sounds like a bad job

Sounds like the disconnector needs more adjusting. I would go back to the gunsmith since it's his work.

Thanks for the replies. I ended up taking it back to the gunsmith. Hopefully he’ll figure it out and I’ll have it back soon.
