From Illinois - New to Guns and Owner of CZ 2075 D RAMI
« on: April 13, 2020, 07:41:50 PM »
Hi Everyone and thank you for the membership.

Just bought a CZ 2075 D RAMI.  Have not fired it yet and trying to find out
what can be changed for a Left Hand shooter.  Also how and what would I need
to practice at home, i.e. dry fire.  If I dry fire should I buy a spear firing Pin and spring
just in case?  Regards,

Welcome to the group. As a fellow lefty I can tell you the magazine release can be reversed.
I would add that over the years I have adapted to using "right hand" pistols and after changing to release on my Rami, it still feels awkward to me.

If you intend to do a lot of dry fire practice, get an o-ring that fits inside the hammer slot. This cushions the blow from the hammer and reduces the damage to the firing pin retaining pin.

A reference picture for what eastman is talking about.

On the CZ2075 RAMI swapping the mag release requires that you remove the Trigger Bar Lifter Washer then lift up or remove the Magazine Release Spring. The Magazine Release can then be removed and reversed. Next, you reinstall the mag Release Spring and the Trigger Bar Lifter Washer.

A probe tool is handy for removing and installing the washer. Maybe some pliers to handle the MRS.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

Zoom snap caps work well. You can also use them in the magazine for malfunction drills etc.

Once you start to actually fire rounds downrange, keep an eye on the rounds count and ejection distances of the casings. The life span of the outer spring in the recoil system is referenced in this post.

If you go the o-ring path, it is a good idea to buy the red silicone o-rings. They will be much more obvious if you leave it in.
