That story had a happy ending -- great news.

Dents and scratches and dings are really personal.  If I put them on there, I can live with it.  I even have a few guns that show some a lot wear -- but that just shows I've shot them a lot.   And I've got a S&W Mdl 10-10 that was a Victoria, Australia police trade-in gun that has a great deal of holster wear -- otherwise it is perfect -- and it just adds to the 'mystique' of that gun.  What a beauty from another era.

For the prices we pay, you want to start out with a pristine gun.

Am I the only one who wishes CZ made guns with a deep blue finish?  It would cost $100 more, so its not for everyone, but it would be great.

Update: reached out to the seller and to CZ via email last night and both said it was a manufacturer issue and would be happy to replace. Shipped mine out today at no cost and receiving a new one. I totally get this is a tool, I have plenty of firearms and most of them are covered in dings and chips, but I put all those dings and chips there. Anyways thanks to CZ and a very reputable online dealer I will be getting a new  SP01 so I can beat the hell out of it next weekend.

I totally get it. I don't want any product sold as new to look anything other than pristine. That said every pistol I own has dings, scratches, and wear, especially my CZs cause I use them. That doesn't bother me a bit.

Glad you got situation fixed and thanks for letting us know.
