CZ P-01
« on: April 26, 2020, 11:30:17 PM »
Looking for recommendations of IWB and OWB holsters.  Preferred carry position is strong side, right.  Want something comfortable, with little to no print.

Thanks!

I carry my 75 Compact and 83s in OWB UBG Regulators.  Been doing so for seven years, and no one has ever noticed.  I just don't tuck my shirts in.  Even on hot summer days an untucked T-shirt supplied adequate concealment.  Nothing is more comfy than a body-hugging OWB holster.

I carry my Compact L and Compact in  Comp Tac Minotaur IWB and paddle holster depending on the mood of the day.  The paddle holster is easier to put on while the IWB take a little more time.  A good gun belt is the key.  I recently ordered a Vedder light Draw OWB and a Cobra belt for my Compact.  I am anxious to try them out.

I can vouch for the Vedder holsters, IWB or OWB.  Get the claw attachment with the IWB!

For kydex I suggest Black Rhino Concealment. The hosters are slightly curved and it hug the body perfect. They have a ton of options for threaed barrels, lights, supressor height sights and optics if needed as well.

I also use StealthGear USA and they are prett nice as well if you want a more hybrid style.

Looks like a lot of nice options.

Kydex seems to be popular, I have a Fobus for another pistol I own.  They don’t seem to have a solution for the P-01

I’ve been eyeballing Alien Gear which seems to be popular based on reviews, good quality and adaptable for comfort.

Any thoughts?

Alien Gears are not bad, IMHO, they are actually comfortable once you get them on.  I've actually stopped using all of mine.  I just find them more of a pain to mount up than a one-clip holster like many of the kydex offerings out there.  Also the kydex holsters using a claw type attachment can help pull the grip of the gun closer to you and help in concealment.  Alien Gears don't do that as well.  I will say their customer service is great, though.  Having the option to just change out shells for free to fit different guns is a great unique selling point.  I bought one of mine used and AG still swapped the shell for free, minus S&H.

Leather = 55BN at Milt Sparks

Kydex - JM custom and the same basic design as the 55 BN

Also Highnoon has some good ones and their hybrid is nice and holds the weapon close

That's if OWB.  I don't want baggy pants.
