Rifle Basix trigger for CZ 527

I have never been happy with the CZ set trigger on the 527, even though it is my favorite rifle. Just want a good two stage trigger instead of this set trigger. Any remarks on how this trigger works? I'd like to hear if anyone has installed the trigger. Thanks.

 I have no experience with any 527 aftermarket triggers. It's easy to adjust the set feature out of the factory trigger (CZ USA had instructions on how to do this in there catalog and on there web site) and end up with a very nice single stage trigger in the 2 1/2 pound class. If you replace the factory trigger weight spring with a 4/10th inch long section of BIC lighter flint spring (center in photo, you can cut 4 springs from one flint spring) it can be under a pound. I've never left it there and adjust up to 2 pounds. To the best of my knowledge the spring replacement idea came from James Calhoun of Calhoun rifles (19 caliber cartridges) and he use to sell these for a dollar. This won't be a two stage though if that's what you really desirer. I believe that the Rifle Basics trigger will also be a single stage trigger. In the photo the springs to the left and right in the photo are CZ factory springs.

Not CZ related but I purchased a rifle basix trigger and installed it into a Marlin rifle, it was a very simple install and ended up being a beautiful 1.5 lb trigger. They are actually very adjustable and affordable when compared to other triggers out there.

A second less expensive option is the CZ USA part number   5372140163   "TRIGGER ASSEMBLY 750 SNIPER NON SET FOR ALL 527 AND 550 MODELS (NOT FOR 550 MAGNUM) GUNSMITH INSTALLATION RECOMENDED". This is an actual CZ factory single stage trigger that was used on the model 750 sniper rifles. It's 69.00 at CZ USA and currently listed as in stock.
