Hello from central KY, I been reading the forums here for forever ever since I got my VZ2008, learned so much here, never registered since for some reason couldnt create a username with my normal email, response said it already existed...so I finally did.
bottom half is what my VZ2008 came with: czech phenolic furniture, bayonet, aluminum mag,
top half is what my VZ2008 became after ordering a Fab Defense modular furniture, had to get from Isreal to get the blue camo.
Adjustable, folding stock allows it to fit in the matching tennis racquet case with 2 polymer Fab Defense mags.
Functionally, I can't say enough about the Fab Defense folding stock, side to side play toleramces about like Magpul, very good feel buttplate, grip, forward grip is adjustable and removable. Unbelievably controllable and accurate after coming from an IOinc AKM.
Had been wanting to build an VZ58 but with VZ58 prices now at insanity levels on gunbroker, just gonna build on what I have.
Ambidextrous mag release next, and definitely need to get someone with tig-welding skills to tab my carrier, can only load clips with 26 rounds or I get failures to eject first couple rounds...and yes i did replace the carrier springs and it stopped most of the FTE the first rounds of the mag, but still had a couple.
