Thanks I have used there jacketed bullets but showed to be out other day.
I have looked burn rate charts I understand all this. I have had good results with TG in 45 acp and other 9mm loads so I tried it on these particular bullets in different gun and was disappointing. I only had trouble in S2 not my other 9mm.
Thanks for help

No I do not. I haven’t chronograph these normally don’t pistol only precision rifle for long range. I go by Hodgdon or other manual. I load on Dillon with Dillon dies at moment. I constantly check things keep everything in check.

Have you slugged your barrel yet?

FWIW - In my target 2 gun, I can NOT use coated bullets.  I tried all sorts of combinations and can't get the bullet to seal w/o going to a .358 bullet. (causing leading) But, the .358 I found has to be loaded too deep and it affects the case to cause a "bulge" to cause chambering issues.  So, I stick to the jackets bullets for that gun.

I use the ACME .357 in my scorpion and several other guns with GREAT results.  TG powder burned too hot for me and caused some leading in the gun.  Sport Pistol works great and is what I use for these coated rounds.  .356 in the Scorpion did cause a slight leading issue.

Some trust in chassis, Some in Horsepower, But we trust in the Lord our God.

If it goes "boom" or "vroom" I'm intersted.

That's an interesting bit of information.

I guess I should have phrased that as " I can't use anything but .358 and those cause other issues due to loading them short to fit the throat.....so.... I can't use coated bullets (for all the ones that I have tried).  Anything smaller than .358 causes leading with any of the 5 powders that I tried.

Thanks for making me clarify.   :o

Thanks that bout what I have decided just use jacketed in this Gun. I am going to slug it been busy did get 500 Zero bullets loaded. I think you are right though my 75B and SP01 don’t look anything like this as far as leading goes.
Thanks for help

When I slugged my shadow 2 barrel it measured .3565. I use .38 cal coated in mine without any leading. I have never tried any smaller projectiles.  It was slugged using a .38 cal 115 HBWC fired into the barrel using just a primer and also cast using cerrosafe. Both methods gave the same result. Cannot use jacketed at my range. Loading the .38 cal has not caused any problems for me.

Thanks I did measure a slug my calipers only go in .001 old dial type but it is at least .3555 the .356 I have are to small. I sent 1000 back today for refund they said I could. The others Brazos here in Texas said I could . They said they never had any luck with Titegroup with their bullets either. I am sending these back tomorrow for exchange larger diameter bullet. I am going try BE86 they said it works well and I do have some of that. I may just get samples of bullets and see if they chamber since CZ has short throat. Thanks for help see what happens

Interesting thread! I have not heard of leading issues in the S2 so I had to read through this.

I have been shooting the Federal Syntech 150 grn. in my Shadow 2 and M&P 9. 400 rounds to date w/o leading or other issues in either pistol. I don't reload or know much about the components of the Federal ammo other than it is a coated lead bullet of 150 grn. I don't have a bore cam but I do eyeball and keep patching until a clean patch emerges from the bore.

I don't own stock in Federal, they are the second coated ammo I tried and I like it so far. The first brand worked great with no issues either but the loads were very dirty/sooty by comparison, and then they were back ordered for 6-8 weeks...

Thank you!

Thanks for all help. How do you slug the barrel exactly ? I always just load .356 Bullets call it good. Guess I need change something. I have Autocomp Cfe and Hp38 which is little fast I suppose. BE and Hp38 always works good in 45 acp.
Thanks
Ohmslaw

After slugging my CZ barrels, I learned all of them are all a little large for 9mm.  I ALWAYS use .356" or .357" diameter bullets for them.

Get a Meister slugging kit, and learn a LOT about your barrels:  https://www.meisterbullets.com/AWSCategories/p/24/Slug-Your-Barrel-Kits

Thanks for the help I’ll look into that kit. I shot my other CZ not near the lead build up in any of the other 4 one is 45acp others all 9mm. The bullet companies let me return them Brazos here in Tx is going to help me with different diameter bullets try those. I’d like to stay with 2-3 brands for most part if possible makes things little simpler. Primers big deal now got bunch but who knows how long this mess is gonna last
Thanks gentlemen for all help been very useful keep posted if I get coated bullet that works in S2
