CZ 22?
« on: February 09, 2021, 04:01:49 PM »
I have been shooting a lot more 22's lately because of the cost of everything else, and it just struck me. CZ doesnt make a 22 pistol. Whats up with that? I know they have the Kadet kit, but a dedicated 22 would be cool. Especially a full size pistol.
I can only hope.

They made the Kadet pistol until 2012. They pop up on GB and go for crazy prices sometimes.

CZC has a Shadow frame that hosts a Kadet2 kit nicely.

The pistol on top is the original Kadet pistol. It's been used to introduce a lot of women to shooting in Women On Target events and has just been a stellar pistol.

The bottom pistol is the aforementioned CZC Shadow frame and a Kadet2 kit. Both have been converted to SAO.

You can but any CZ 75 variant that you want, sell the slide and install a Kadet permanently and you have a dedicated 22lr CZ.
Will work for CZ pics! (including but not limited to all CZ clones)

 CZ produces P07 and P09 .22LR pistols. https://www.czub.cz/en/firearms-and-products-product/cz-p-09-kadet  https://www.czub.cz/en/firearms-and-products-product/cz-p-07-kadet-fde
On P07 description says, that it is adapter, but it is not. https://www.czub.cz/en/firearms-and-products-product/cz-p-07-kadet-fde Costs about the same as 9mm pistol.

Highly recommend a Kadet Kit.  Pick the CZ pistol that fits you best and get a one of these kits.  Have several and everyone shoots well and is reliable.  The ones on my 75 SAs both had to be fitted and the ejector need to be reshaped, but they both out shoot modern S&W 41s which cost more than either of the pistols with the Kadet Kit.

Best of luck in your search.

welcome,

you need to get out more.

but in the CZUB? catalog they show a P07/09 KADET.  it will be interesting if they decide to bring over to the USA.

I’m a big fan of the Kadet and the kit. Just know that it works great with factory spec frames but can be finicky when the hammer spring poundage goes too low. A dedicated gun is the way to go.
