Son with birthday present
« on: July 14, 2020, 12:45:01 AM »
He finally got his red dot.

SIG Romeo5 on his PSA AR15.

Sighted in by me. 50 yards

He tried it.

He has like 300 rounds through any centerfire rifle...

Happy Dad

The funniest is I then went to the BREN 2 MS pistol for some fun, and realized HOW light the BREN 2 trigger is compared to a standard mil spec AR trigger. I doubled twice. Whoops. had to let it all the way out and not try to stage it, as I always do. BREN 2 worked flawlessly, of course.

Son wanted the read sight tower off, and this is what the son's Hammer looks like now. He is VERY happy.

He probably won't remember me it's been so long but wish him a happy birthday for me.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Proud dad.  Hope y'all had a blast.  Happy Birthday to your boy!

For a lefty, would highly recommend taking a look at Geissele's Maritime Bolt Catch.  They run sub-$25 during their holiday sales, maybe Labor Day next, and would make a great stocking stuffer.  Discussed further in a somewhat recent thread started by Grendel.

If you don't already have an H1 buffer in there, take a look at picking up one of the the Geissele braided buffers as well.  After you price at an H1 Buffer and a slightly stronger springco spring, you're about at the same price.  And for use w/ red dots, I prefer their para ambi charging handle to the super.  No experience with their newer gov't but seems a little too small.

AM--this is my kind of range report!!  Nothing like Dad and Son at the range!

And...I never saw a red dot I didn't like.   :)

Good shooting, good times at the range.

The rifle is actually stock PSA, a PSA MOE+ lower and a midlength PSA Freedom upper. The rear sight tower, (removed), is a Cav Arms Stand Alone rear sight. He now wants to go shoot some more, which is unusual for him in the heat.

Whatever hooked him, let it and ride it!

Heck yes!  8) He even has his own, (my cast off), plate carrier too, with mag pouch and S.O. Tech medical pouch.
