CZ P10C Magazines
« on: July 09, 2020, 08:29:37 PM »
Recently purchased a P10C. The magazines have 2 cuts on the left side and 2 cuts on the right side on the front of the magazine. Brother n Law has an older P10C. His mags have one cut on each side. His mags will not work in my pistol. They will not stay in the pistol. Slide right out. Was at local dealer yesterday and asked for a P10C mag. He had one and it too had one cut on the left and one on the right. It too would not click into the gun and hold. Who can offer any info on this? Having no luck finding additional mags. Thanks, KP

The original version of the P-10c used an ambidextrous magazine release. It uses a punch-out on the front side of the magazine to lock. Since it is the same size as the P-07 magazine, it has a right and left side punch-out for the P-07.

The second generation of P-10c uses a magazine release which can be moved left side or right side. It uses a different set of punch-outs than the P-07, so the newest mags have two on each side.

Older mags aren’t forward compatible with newer guns due to the charge in mag release. Newer mags with the double cut are backward compatible with the older model and also fit the P07.

Greg Cote for mags. Sold out of the 15rd. mags at the moment though.

They cost a few dollars more than gregcotellc, but CZ-USA has the 15-round P10-C 9mm magazines in stock at the moment:

I was once shooting my SP01 in competition. When I was called to the line, I slapped in the mag and "made ready". Buzzer goes off, but the gun wouldn't fire. I cleared the weapon and it still refused to fire. The fit at the bottom of the grip was perfect. The mag latching mechanism worked perfectly. There was absolutely zero external indication of what was wrong. I locked the slide back and looked into the breach. I had inserted a mag from my P01 which was identical in every detail, except that it was 1/4" lower in the feed area. The slide had simply not been able to strip and feed a round.

My point is, there are numerous CZ mags and they all look so nearly identical that at a casual glance no one can tell them apart. That day I learned an important lesson about segregating my mags.

Simple stuff like this can get you killed.

Not sure if you are still searching for magazines, they appear to be in stock at lockedloaded.com for $31.85.
