Amazed at the attention to detail
« on: May 27, 2020, 03:55:51 PM »
I have been reloading for a very long time and keep pretty detailed records of what I am doing and how the product I make perform. When I read on this site the questions that people ask and the details that they ask about or the answers and the detail the explanations go into, it makes me feel like I am kind of a slouch.

I applaud all of the great info and detail that I read about and see shared on the site. Reloading is a detail important and consistently uniform hobby. I tip my hat to all of you on here and your selfless sharing of knowledge and attention to detail that help so many learn, improve and understand. Keep up the fine work!!!!!!

This section of this forum is the reason I started reloading.  The knowledge shared and attention to detail in the responses makes this place hard to beat when it comes to learning what matters and how to approach the process.

Cheers to all that make this forum the best!

It truly is an amazing resource for every level of reloader. The quality and detail of the information and advice is astounding actually. I have learned so much that I doubt I could have learned anywhere else.

Agreed, this is a great resource!  Books are good, but being able to ask a question or share a situation for comment, that's valuable.  I pick up important information from people discussing things I wouldn't have thought applied to what I am doing, and being able to search the forum for specific information really helps.   8)   I know a couple people who reload, but it's better when you can hear from a bigger group of knowledgeable people.

I have a little different perspective.  It has been all I could do to learn to pull the trigger without moving the gun.  Most of the time.  I've been tempted to get in to handloading ammo, but I have seen from reading your posts how much one must learn and how many steps there are and how many variables there are and decided I couldn't learn how to become an expert during my remaining lifetime!!  So I continue to pay a premium for specialty ammo and use the time I could spend on reloading on videography and the grand kids.

But I still enjoy reading about the details here and pretending I understand what you all are trying to accomplish!!   :) :)

. . and I enjoy watching you hit targets with a tiny pistol from 200 yards!  If I had to become an expert at something before I could enjoy it, I'd watch a lot of television!!   ;D

I do hear you about choosing and focusing your activities, sounds like you've got a good perspective on things.   8)

I agree wholeheartedly that this forum has the most detailed discussion on any reloading topic. Knowledge is knowing and understanding, and it'll keep us safe. It's all here!

Yes, this forum got me started down a long slippery slope.   And I'm having the time of my life doing it!!

Thanks.  My other hobby is photography and videography, so I combine that with the shooting.  Instead of reloading.  But some days it is just too much to run 2 or 3 cameras and a recorder simultaneously and get everything right, then be able to actually focus on shooting the pistol!  If I had to worry about keeping various cartridges and notes straight while filming, while shooting, I'd go beserko, I think.   :)

Well, don't want to see that happen so don't worry about reloading then.  :)

The "new guy" here and yes, from my new eyes to this forum just looking around things look great for reloading knowledge. And a confession... I just picked up a CZ Shadow 2 orange in large part so I can keep building on my rifle reloading knowledge and start reloading pistol.

I've tons to learn that's for sure. Thanks in advance to the contributors that have built the knowledge base, I hope I can get to the point of adding good content as well.
