Europe--
Before I retired, I was away from the range for weeks at a time in the Middle East. I would come back, go to the range for a short session, maybe 50 rounds rimfire, 50 rounds centerfire, then come back two days later for twice that. It usually took 100-200 rounds through each match pistol for me to return to normal. Long sessions on first return were counterproductive, probably due to my temperament more than actual recovery of form. In other words, one week refresher in 2 or 3 range trips, then I was ok by the second week, if I wasn't too hard on myself mentally.
I recover much quicker from a break with the Kadet. Probably because I have 2-3 times more experience with the Kadet than with any of the centerfire guns.
So, keep at it.
