452 Lux vs. Trainer
« on: September 26, 2020, 06:27:57 PM »
Hi guys, I posted a week ago about the front sight band on what I thought was a used 452 Trainer. I ended up purchasing it, but now looking at the stock grain more closely, it appears to be walnut instead of beech...so I think it's actually a Lux. Can anyone confirm?

To me it looks like a trainer as they have the longer barrels, and the stock looks correct also. I'm not sure on the stock being beech or walnut. Post it over on rimfirecentral.com in the CZ section and you will get a definite answer shortly. Either way it's a great looking rifle, have you shot it yet?

Seen some heated debate on Rimfire over if a stock is Beech or Walnut. What’s important to me is how it shoots.  For what it’s worth, not much, IMO that stock is a beech. ;)

Thanks for the replies. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet. From what I understand, the Lux and Trainer are identical except for the stock being walnut on the Lux and beech on the Trainer.

Either way, I'm happy to have it.
