Magazine baseplates for CZ mags in clones
« on: September 20, 2020, 07:04:20 PM »
As we all know the Mec Gar AFC 17 round magazines for the CZ-75 can be used in some of the clones.  What I'm looking for is a baseplate that is about 1/8" longer in the front to match the radius of the frame on the clones.  I've seen jwc007's picture of his MAP1 and I always wonder if there's a better baseplate or magazine option that fits perfectly.

There are quite a few aftermarket  Base Plates for Cz75 Magazines.

For those that need a reference image, here's the pic of the Full Size and Mid Size Tanfoglio/RIA MAP1's.

I'm pretty sure all of those baseplates are the CZ length (front to back).  What I need is something an 1/8" longer front to back.

Is this to fix a visual issue or a functional one?

I suppose if your hands are small enough to fit entirely on the frame it's a visual issue.  But if you're like me and your pinky tends to rest half on the frame and half on the floorplate, it's more of a functional issue.

Well I looks like you'd have a little room to under cut the grip a little just below the mag release,If not I'm sure somebody makes a pinky extention base plate or get a magwell attachment maybe.

Is this the type base plate you have in mind?
