Collapsible brace for new S2
« on: October 27, 2020, 02:16:07 PM »
I haven't installed the stock folding brace on my new S2, and think I would like a collapsible one instead.  Would appreciate feedback on what my best options would be - thank you.

I did the ATF eForm 1 and went with the Manticore sliding stock.

Got my tax stamp in 17 days.

Have you tried a collapsible brace/stock? I've always like the look & function but after I actually got one for my mp5 (clone), I don't like it.
The check weld is  uncomfortable almost nonexistent, changed sight height and causes some movement / wiggle in the stock.
Granted it wasn't on an evo but I'm assuming there similar in construction?
Maybe they've improved or has a better design but it's something you may want to inquire about.

They have some wiggle in them when there open.

Is the Manticore collapsible brace now considered a stock when used on an S2?

The brace isn't, but the stock version I'm using is.

At least the brace isn't as I type this. May be a different story come 2021.

I'm looking at a used S&B SBTEVO CZ Scorpion Brace to replace the factory collapsable brace that came standard on my "CZ Scorpion Micro EVO 3 S2"

Does installing the S&B require  SBR tax stamp ?
